My Top 10 Films of 2008

I have to admit that I didn't have to put alot of thought into this list. I was asked by Mike this afternoon to do a "Favorites of 2008" list and I only had time to do one category---FILM---an easy topic for this year because it was pretty clear cut which movies I liked and which I thought were complete trainwrecks and misfires...THESE ARE NOT REVIEWS....just some quick thoughts....I tried to put them in order to the best of my ability so bare witness...

10. Rambo....I know I know....say what you want but this kicked some serious slanted eyed ass...I admire the fact that Stallone had the balls to bring back his two most iconic screen characters in Rocky and Rambo over the past two years and he nailed it right on the head with this one. Yeah the story is kinda ehh but it's RAMBO....you know what to expect....blah blah blah shyt goes wrong and Rambo has to blow shyt up and kill people....and in the last 20 minutes of this movie that's an understatement....this is man violence at it's very best so pay homage to Stallone...and also check for a new movie he's working on called "The Expendables"...more on that in later posts.

9. Gran Torino...If they actually found any young asian guys who could act this would be ranked higher....that was the main flaw with this film but Clint Eastwood's acting and direction is what saved it...the story is pretty str8 forward and Eastwood's work here as a disgruntled, angry, racist old man is classic....the ending was a nice surprise and I found myself thinking about this movie for days after I watched it...good shyt

8. Slumdog Millionaire...I've heard every critic, blog, website, newspaper and citizen sucking this movies cock for the past few months so I went in expecting a masterpiece....is it?...no....but it's a good fucking movie...there aren't too many subtitles for all you illiterate, lazy bastards...in fact I'd say 75% of it is in English....the story was a fresh idea and I was sucked in til the very end...the actress who plays Latika is smoking hot too....go see it

7. Iron Man...I could sum this up with 3 words...Robert Downey Jr......I've loved this fuckin guy since Back to School and I am so happy he's now an A-list actor...this was the first movie Marvel put out after taking over all creative rights from the faggots and wet ends who run the powerhouse movie studios in Hollywood...and they got it right....my only complaint is the lack of another major action sequence or two but everything else was as close to perfect as you can get....the story...the acting...the direction....props to Jon Favreau

6. Kung Fu Panda...like a loser I went and saw this on a Saturday afternoon by myself and was pissed I had no one to enjoy it with....I bought it for my 5 year old niece for Christmas and she went ape shyt over it...the animation in this film is ridiculous and the scene where Tai Lung(voiced by my hero Ian McShane) escapes lockdown is nothing short of spectacular...the ending was a bit goofy but forgivable...this was beautiful to watch on the big screen...the end

Alright...I'm tired, hungry and I got a ton of shyt to do before I go to bed so the top 5 will be posted tomorrow with whatever else I decide to give my opinion on...get used to it
